Selecting Your Topics

Now that we have a clear goal in mind, let's talk a little bit about topic selection.

Topic selection is important as it is the first thing you must think about when starting to write.

When writing for Sneakin Design you will be given broad topics but that leaves a lot of decisions for you to make before you actually start writing.

For example, let's say your topic is POKER. This is a very wide field and you will need to decide where in this broad topic you will concentrate on.

Topic Selection:

This process can be done in two ways.

First you can write about something you know. This is always a plus when writing as you can easily generate articles on your strengths. After all, what could be easier than writing about something you are very familiar with.

Second, writing on a topic that you are unfamiliar with. This is where research comes in. This is actually more challenging and arguably more rewarding.

While it is of course ok to take information gathered on the internet for the basis of your articles, remember that all work must be unique and in your own words.

Remember that these articles will be used for web site promotion and can not have duplicate content out on the web somewhere. For if they did it would be against the whole point in the first place.

This is so important we want to cover it again by saying: First and foremost all your work must be unique. The reason for this is so when a potential customer of our client's web site types in keywords into a search engine they will find your article on that client's pages.

Bottom line: That is our goal!

A final note: Now that you have a topic to write on make sure that when submitting your article to the Sneakin Design web site that you please select the right topic to which your article is about.

If your writing about poker the article should not go into general gambling or the casino category. Double check that you selected the proper category; for this example the proper topic would be poker.
